SungKnows Presents: Saint Kris & Royal Canoe

Well the night has come and gone, January 8^th was a date that I will never forget. That evening I got to cross something off my bucket list; to host an amazing party! With the support from the Sungknows Crew I got to showcase some amazing Winnipeg talent! Royal Canoe and Saint Kris got to perform in front of a sold out crowd at LoPub.  Both these artists deserved everything they got that night; the audience was dancing, singing along and loving every minute both acts were on stage.

Royal Canoe started the night off with a great set of their own material from Co-op Mode and new stuff from most recent online EP release. They then followed the set with what they call “club hits” that really got the party bumping. Two of my favorite classics they played were “Pony by Genuine” and “No Diggity by Black Street”. These classics really got LoPub dancing and singing along like they were all back in 1998.

This was followed by the man of the hour Saint Kris, who was releasing his 2^nd mixtape “ExtraOrdinary” that evening. The crowd was chanting his name before and after his set, they couldn’t get enough of Saint Kris. This being his first officia Winnipeg performance really was a special day in his career. He let the whole crowd know the story of Saint Kris by the end of the night. Here is the encore acappella verse he spit once the “one more song!” yelling started. Enjoi

I just want to say thank you to everybody that showed up that night to support Sungknows, Royal Canoe, and Saint Kris. It was really amazing to see everybody at LoPub, the room was filled with some amazing people and that’s the only way I would have it. Royal Canoe and Saint Kris deserve the best, their music needs to be heard and the atmosphere that night was everything the band and I could have asked for! Thank you all for everything!
