Mobb battles hard against their first real challenge of the season. With a lower shooting percentage, Mobb still finds a way to get the ball through the hoop. The intense hard nose defense that Mobb put on the whole game, wore out their opponents and put them through 40 minutes of full court pain.

Mini Mini Road Trip

My good buddy Jordan and I went down to UND yesterday to catch some NCAA Basketball action. It didn't even scratch the surface to what my buddy Mitch "the Cat" is experiencing down in North Carolina but it was still a fun time. My friend Jordan has been in and out of the country for quite some time traveling and working so we planned this mini road trip to catch up and hangout before he had to leave again for van city. We had pretty good timing for the games because they actually had the games down at the Ralph Engelstad Arena, where they play hockey and hosted the World Junior Hockey Championships. We got some pretty good seats in the lower bowl for the girls game but, got pretty risky and snuck down to court side for the mens game. It was just a good time with Jordan catching up and talking about everything, a blasty blast of a time. Here are some pictures from the games below. enjoi

Jimmy Fallon Fight Club Joke

"First rule of Fight Club.. don't make a social networking group about fight club." If you have caught the news recently, you may have heard about the fight club that started up at the University of Manitoba. The club consisted of 4 or 5 guys fighting each other in the racquet courts in the FK Centre. Being a bunch of meat heads they really did a smart thing by making a facebook group regarding there wonderful new club they started. He is currently having his dreams come true by watching his favorite college basketball team, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels play at home for the first time. He bleeds carolina blue and is a huge reason why are new Mobb jersey's are Tar Heels influenced. 2009-2010 NBA Championship Prediction

Well tonight, if you happen to catch the TNT triple header the last game was a rematch of the NBA Playoff Final, Lakers vs Magic. It got me thinking about who will win the "ship" this year. If anybody knows my basketball background and the shoes I like to rock I have to go with the LA Lakers! My Laker pride runs deep and with the addition of Artest, a healthy Andrew B, and a bench with tons of talent, going back to the Finals shouldn't be possible. I know there are a lot of Laker/Kobe haters out there but what is there not to like about the Lake Show! The Lakers are one of the most exciting teams to watch, they have amazing talent and the best player in the L right now. Lakers all the way!

So I recently pick up a pair of The Classic's by Plan B this weekend. I have been wearing them around the house and let me just say these babies fit like a glove and are up their in comfort too! The chuck look is evident but it has its own simple flair and style. Unlike the chuck it doesn't have the rubber toe and has a thicker, comfortable tongue. The design is simple but a great old school look that will be ready in full effect this summer! enjoi

I recently got the new Kanye West VH1 Storytellers. This is a intimate concert series that highlights specific artist. Kanye performs amazing tracks from 808s and Heartbreak, as well as some classics. Mr. West talks about the story behind each song and you get an closer look at the creative mind behind the music. DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors and Eric Gordon of the Los Angeles Clippers will compete in the NBA All-Star Dunk-In competition to determine the fourth spot in the All-Star slam dunk contest. The NBA announced the participants Thursday after revealing the framework of the Dunk-In contest one day earlier. DeRozan and Gordon will get two dunks each during halftime of the rookie challenge on Friday, Feb. 12. The winner, chosen by votes on NBA.com and through text messaging, will claim a spot in the marquee event of All-Star Saturday night, to be held this year in Dallas. VOTE FOR DeROZAN!

Extreme Room Makeover

The title of this post is a little misleading. There was no demolition and megaphone yelling to "move that bus!" ahaha. If you have been in contact with me you will know that I was fortunate enough to move into a brand new house with Big Willy Style (aka bro). If you have been over you've seen my small bed room upstairs at the front of the house, well my time is almost up in there. During the christmas break construction started to finish the basement where my new room will be. Above and below are some  pictures of what basement currently looks like; living room and my room. I have some ideas on what colours i want to paint, the decor and furniture for my room and living room. The framing and dry wall is complete and painting will start very shortly. I am getting excited to move down there, to setup and design my own bedroom. In a couple of weeks i'll post the finish product.

Big City Soundgirl Music Video

This past saturday I was fortunate to get hooked up by the Winnipeg hip hop group The Lytics, to be apart of their first official music video. The recently formed group is making waves with their first EP and performing shows across Canada. Big City Soundgirl is the single they used for the music video and it can be heard on HOT 103 and Curve 94. Even though my part was small it was exciting to be apart of it. The shoot took over 10 hours to do and there was a lot of support from friends and fans to experience this special day with the group. The day was capped off with a show in the evening where The Lytics performed their whole EP at the Lo Pub. Stay tune for the video. enjoi

Olympic Torch

Last night I was fortune enough to be apart of history...Olympic history. The Olympic torch relay arrived in Winnipeg at the Forks and it was quite the celebration. My good friends Michele and Colleen went down to the event and took in the Olympic glory. The above photo is the Olympic flame on the main stage where they had some amazing Manitoba talent perform, followed by fireworks. The video below is of the torch relay in the peg. enjoi

The bands name is "fun." and thats says it enough, this feel good music is tons of fun! Lead man Nate Ruess was originally part of one of my favorite groups The Format. The Arizona band recently broke up and he moved to NYC to form "fun." with "Steel Train's" Jack Antonoff and Andrew Dost of "Anathallo". I recently downloaded their album off itunes and lets just say its loads of fun. (ahaha) Their single of their debut album "Aim and Ignite" is the track "All the Pretty Girls" enjoi.
