Maestro Knows - Time to speak.

Levi Maestro Speaks at Schools from Scott Regan on Vimeo.

So Maestro recently went down to a high school in Las Vagas to speak and lecture about how he got to where he is today. I know my boy Cam posted this video on his blog already but I had to write about it. I have watched this video now 5 times and it's inspiring. Yes the first couple of times I was just entertained by the editing and music and how cool Maestro is, but once I started to listen to what he was telling these kids it was so true and honest.
"You don't have anything prove to anybody else, if you prove it to yourself thats the best person to prove it to. I do what I love and I don't let people tell me I can't do it." - M. Knows
He's speaking about following your passion and pursuing what you want to do in life, if you want it.. go get it and don't let nobody stop you. Why work a job or get an education in something you have no desire for?  Find the path you want to take and if you feel it's not the one your spouse to be on then jump onto the next one. Push towards something you want to do and want to have an impact on because thats what life comes down to, being happy and living it to the fullest. enjoi.

Craig Cardiff Show

Last weekend I was fortunate to attend my second Craig Cardiff show. The year before I went to my first warehouse show of his and was blown away by his amazing talent. I had found his music online prior but when I heard him live his presence just made it so clear how gifted he was. The night started of with some amazing opening acts. Sean Pinchin was the first to step on stage and I am confident to say he blew away everybody with his unique voice and slide guitar. The next act was Robyn Dell' Uni and I fell in love with her voice, melodies, and personality. She sang some amazing songs and did a great job of telling the stories behind writing each one. Then Craig stepped on stage and sang some amazing songs about love, which seemed to be the theme of both his sets. Local standout Shenna Grobb also had a duet with craig and sang some amazing pieces of her new album. I'm not great with words but I am lucky to know some amazing people to help create a visual showcase of some of the concert. Thenight before Mich came up with a great idea that my sungknows crew member Cam (aka. The Boss, Cflow) make a video on the concert and maybe she could hook up an interview too. All the piece fell in place and Cam put together some NICE pieces of work on an amazing night of music. The videos are below and I hope you enjoi them as much as I did listening live at the the warehouse. enjoi.

Dancing on Air

I love Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and a big reason is crazy audience games he plays. In an older post I put up a clip of "Dance Your Hat and Gloves Off" now he has a new game called "Dancing on Air". He makes the participates pick types of dances out of a hat and they have to perform then like they would on a dance floor but 10 feet in the air. The three dances the audieunce members do are the Irish Jig, Ballet, and Disco Dance. enjoi

The Clipse @ The Pyramid

I recently attended The Clipse show at the Pyramid and it was a pretty sweet show. They played most of their hits from all their albums and mixtapes. They are great performance and had tons of stage presents and energy. There was one small problem...they were only on stage for 45 min! no encore nothing. They just got the crowd going crazy after playing "kinda like a big deal" and then boom done, they said good bye and walked off stage. People started chanting "encore, encore" and "Clipse! Clipse!". The DJ looked surprised that we wanted more, and then when started to take his needles out and unplugged his mac, the boos started to fill the venue. Everybody thought the same thing, they put on such a great show while they were on stage but seriously no encore? only disappointment but they did put on a good performance when they were on stage. Here are some pictures I took enjoi.

Wale in the Peg

Last week my boy Jay hooked Saint and I up with tickets to Wale. We went to the show pretty early to check out the local hip-hop talent in Winnipeg that were opening for Wale. All I have to say is "Word Up Mane!!" the only song that caught my attention because they kept singing it in their dirty south style. Wale put on a pretty good show, was kind of expecting more from a "XXL Magazine Freshmen 10, Hip Hop Class for '09" member. He still played his hit songs and everybody got their fix of "Looking at looking at looking at me" ha ha. enjoi
